GPS FLEET MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR SATELLITE TRACKING OF VEHICLES

Locating and tracking vehicles via satellites with GPS technology

GPS is an abbreviation which stands for Global Positioning System. It is a network of satellites which continually send coded information which allow for precise locating objects on the Earth.

Information which is received from the satellite is decoded and processed by the system, helping the GPS receiver to determine the position of vehicles and their velocity anywhere on the planet. The system's primary purpose is protecting vehicles from theft and is considered the most efficient way of protecting vehicles today.

The GSM component of the device provides a constant connection to the center for locating and tracking vehicles via a „data“ VIP GPS subscription card. All the antennas that are necessary for constant communication between the GSM network and GPS system are protected and concealed. The device is in fact a small computer which has been equipped with a GPS/GPRS modem which is used to transfer data to a server computer. The server computer communicates, sends and receives data to devices inside vehicles, and it registers and processes the accumulated data. On the other hand, the central computer sends data to user applications which are being performed on any computer that is networked to the server computer via LAN or wireless connection. The vehicle locating and tracking center is equipped with the cutting edge equipment and computer programs which can track your vehicle 24 hours a day and locate it at any particular time. It is also possible to determine the route which a certain vehicle should take, and any aberration from the default route is registered immediately in the vehicle locating and tracking center.

Fleet management is a system that is aimed at businesses which want to maintain full control over movements and expenses of their vehicle fleet. The user can see the position and history of vehicle movement at any given time.
